Unlike most Adirondack chairs, this chair was designed for maximum comfort and extended use. It has a contoured seat and back, with a choice of sizes to provide a comfortable depth of seat (standard, tall, and short). Most structural components of the chair are glued, and everything is screwed with rust resistant hardware. We use locally sawn pine as our go-to wood, and we also offer cedar. A protective outdoor finish or your choice of paint can be added for an additional fee. Since the first time this chair was made in 1998, constant modifications have taken place to form perhaps the perfect Adirondack chair. You really have to sit in these chairs to appreciate how comfortable a handmade wooden chair can be! These chairs are built to be family heirlooms!

The Standard Adirondack Chair can be coated with a protective outdoor stain for an additional fee of $35.00 per chair. We can also paint them using any color of your choosing, though the price will vary. Pro tip - Depending on the size of the order, the cost for coatings is often negotiable!
